Community Design Standards

Did You Know?

Please complete an Architectural Review Board (ARB) form PRIOR to any exterior modifications including painting, landscaping, fencing, tree removal, driveways or other substantial changes to the property. Submit it to the Clubhouse administrative office during normal business hours either in person, by email or fax. Turnaround for approvals is usually 48-72 hours. The administrative office is located at: 5001 Mainstreet Park Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30088. Forms can be either emailed to the office at info@mainstreetcommunity.org or faxed to the clubhouse administrative office at: 770-498-5138.
Residents can independently file a DeKalb County Code Enforcement complaint directly with the County by filling out an online form at their website:
http://www.co.dekalb.ga.us/planning/mainPage.html
As a Mainstreet Community resident and/or homeowner you are responsible for maintaining your property. The Architectural Review Board does frequent property inspections and follows up on all valid complaints to the Administrative Office.
Mainstreet Community maintains a uniform set of design standards to maintain "curb appeal" - the biggest factor in property values. As a good neighbor, it is important to maintain landscaping and regular home maintenance. MODIFICATION OF EXTERIOR HOUSE COLORS MUST RECEIVE PRIOR APPROVAL FROM ARB. NONCOMPLIANT COLORS WILL BE FINED $1,500 AND RESULT IN LOSS OF MEMBER VOTING RIGHTS. APPROVED COLORS ARE MUTED PASTELS AND RUSTIC COLORS. Please submit an ARB form for approval prior to modifying house colors.
The Clubhouse administrative staff strives to provide information and resources for your use.
